Top Dog Racers go to Columbia South America, June 2007

Hola,

As most of you know Missy and I went to Columbia, South America to perform the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Show.  As members of the International team we along with two other trainers and took our own dogs and demonstrated several dog sport which were Flyball, Canine Freestyle Dancing and Frisbee, Agility and Dock Diving.  I thought the crowd like Flyball and Canine Freestyle Dancing best.  Flyball was a huge hit and the roaring crowd really got into the racing.  Never before had they seen dogs dancing and got right into to it by clapping along.  Never has there been a show like the Incredible Dog Challenge in Columbia and was clearly a brilliant project by Purina in educational and advertising.  The crowd loved the shows and were highly entertained by our multi talented canines.  All six shows were free to the public and the grand stands were packed in both cities, Bogota and Medellin.

Missy took four dogs and I took four dogs and two other trainers took 6 dogs which totaled 14 dogs.  Was getting 14 dogs into Columbia was a chore?  Just ask Missy : - ) as she and all the dogs flew by cargo through a company who specializes in transporting pets.

This trip was an adventure for sure and I will never never forget the people, the food and the great weather.  We were treated like royalty.  I know there were lots of folks who were worried about our safety but we were in very good hands and surrounded by great people who watched over us.  Did Missy and I ever get worried?.... well that's another story.

Here are a few pics, hope you enjoy.
